Learn about our programs

Nursery Program

Our nursery program is designed to give children a strong foundation in independent learning. They begin by acquiring the concentration, coordination, and learning habits that will allow them to progress to more complex tasks.

To help children make the most of this learning path, we offer them a wide range of experiences to enhance their cognitive, physical, emotional and social development: they encounter sensorial and practical life activities and materials as well as those that focus on language arts, mathematics, science, art, social studies, and culture.

As children progress, we work to accommodate their developmental needs and ensure that they continue to experience the joy of discovery and successful self-directed learning.

We also ensure that all children in our nursery program work together so they can develop strong social skills and mutual respect.

Kindergarten Program

The Kindergarten program is a half-day session, five days a week, with small class sizes. Kindergarten children can be registered for full days, including lunch.

Our Kindergarten program follows the Manitoba curriculum and is built around the Montessori belief that children in their kindergarten year reach an important stage of mental, physical, and emotional integration. In this year, children can build on their nursery program accomplishments and prepare for upper grades.

The kindergarten children learn about responsibility and leadership by mentoring the younger children. Younger and older children alike benefit from these interactions as they work together to create a healthy and respectful learning community.

Additional Programming

Nursery and kindergarten children alike participate in gross motor lessons and in music lessons. We use the Orff method for teaching music, and children play many musical instruments, from drums and xylophones to ukuleles.

We also offer inclusion support services, including assistance in securing funding for one-to-one staff as well as referrals to professionals.

For an additional fee, we provide before- and after-care. Also for an additional fee, we offer a lunch program for full-day students.
