Mission Statement
The mission of Children’s House is the establishment, maintenance and operation of a child development centre for children based on Montessori principles.
Our Philosophy
Our programs are modelled on the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. We believe in curiosity, independence and responsibility in learning. Our modified Montessori philosophy shapes our teaching, our classrooms and our program activities.
Facilities
On the main floor, children learn in different activity centres, including the practical life centre and the art area.
They also spend time in a large classroom stocked with puzzles, games, and other activities that help them learn about letters and numbers, science, and cultural studies.
On the lower level, children use the well-equipped gross motor area.
The school’s outdoor classroom encourages active play and learning. The children plant and harvest gardens, and they enjoy many seasonal activities, such as tobogganing, soccer, and the annual butterfly release. .
